The meaning of Repentance:
“The action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.
“Every person who turns to YAH in genuine repentance and faith will be saved”.
Synonyms:
remorse, contrition, contriteness, penitence, sorrow, sorrowfulness, regret.
Let us read what our ADONAI YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH said as He preached and asked the people to repent from their sins.
BESORAH LUQAS(Luke) 13:1-5
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galiyliym, whose blood pilate has mingled with sacrifices. And YAHUSHA answering said unto them, suppose ye that this Galiyliym were sinners above all the Galiyliym because they suffered all such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Shiloach fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Yerushalayim? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
When you have sincere regret or remorse for any sin, you will not continue in such sin. You will run away from both the sin and any occasion that will lead to that sin. So, true remorse or repentance from your bad ways is the first step towards salvation.

MA’ASIYM (Acts) 2:37-41
37 ” Now when they heard this, they were pricked(touched) in their heart, and said unto kepha and to the rest of the apostles, Men, and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Kepha said unto them, “Repent and be immersed everyone of you in the name of YAHUAH-YAHUSHA for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the RUACH HAQADASH.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children and to all that are far off, even as many as YAHUAH ELOHAYNU shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from this perverse nation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were immersed: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls”.
Whoever that fails to tell you that you need to repent so as to gain salvation is the greatest enemy to your soul. Our Saviour YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH didn’t paint it or sugar coated it. He wasn’t diplomatic about it. He was not sounding or trying to sound politically correct. He said it without mincing words that if you do not repent you will perish.
The leader of those that follow the way of YAHUSHA in the person of Kepha(Peter), the Prince of Apostles did the same thing. Just like his master, He said it, “you must repent”.
Be the judge and see who is deceiving the faithful. They want to hide under the umbrella of love and mercy and confuse you. Do not be confused. You must repent. The greatest mercy of YAH to you is to cause you to repent and grieve for your sins and turnaround from sin and unrighteousness.
Beloved of YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH, keep doing your best. When you fall, rise again. RUACH HAQADASH(The Spirit of YAHUAH) is here to help us all. We will never give up. We will never get wearied. So that in the evening of our lives we can say with Apostle Sha’ ul;
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have guarded the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which YAHUAH, the righteous judge, shall give me at that Day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
May the Everlasting Father and Creator of the Universe; YAHUAH, open our hearts and eyes to see His way and receive His RUACH in the name of YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH our Saviour.
